Regular Issue Submission Guidelines

 

The author guidelines for the Contemporary Dialogue are as follows:

Authors are advised to download and read the guidelines below before preparing your manuscript for submission.

  • Manuscript preparation: Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the guidelines of journal.
  • Submission: Manuscripts should be submitted online through the journal’s website.
  • Authorship: All authors should have made significant contributions to the manuscript, and all listed authors should have approved the final version of the manuscript.
  • Originality: Manuscripts should be original and should not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • Plagiarism:When submitting plagiarism reports, especially in academic contexts, it's essential to use reputable plagiarism detection software like iThenticate, Turnitin, Ouriginal, Urkund, or DrillBit. These tools are widely recognized and accepted within educational institutions and scholarly communities for checking the originality of written work. Please ensure that the content of your manuscript is original and has not been plagiarized from other sources and abide by the terms and conditions of the UGC Plagiarism Policy
  • Length: Manuscripts should be between 6,000 and 8,000 words, including references and appendices.
  • References: References should be cited in-text using the author-date system and listed in alphabetical order at the end of the manuscript. The journal follows the APA referencing style. It is recommended to limit the number of references to around 20 sources per article.
  • Formatting: Manuscripts should be formatted accordance Contemporary Dialogue Template. which can be downloaded from the journal’s website (it shoud be as per paper published in Contemporary Dialogue). including headings, subheadings, and reference formatting.
  • Abstract and keywords: Manuscripts should include an abstract of no more than 350 words and up to five keywords that describe the manuscript’s main themes.
  • Figures and Tables: Figures and tables should be included in the manuscript and should be numbered and labelled appropriately. They should be placed within the text at the appropriate locations.
  • Ethics: Authors should follow ethical principles in academic publishing and should ensure that their research does not violate ethical standards.

    Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

    The purpose of these guidelines is to ensure that submitted manuscripts are 'camera-ready,' requiring no further modifications and thereby reducing the processing time for publication.

    Page Layout and Formatting

  • Page Size : Set to A4 Paper (210 x 297 mm), with 1 Column Format Format Margins: One inch on all sides.
  • Font and Spacing: Use Times New Roman, size 10 pt, Alignment: Justified, and Line Spacing 1.15 throughout.
  • Title : Centered, bold, and in 16-point font.
  • Paragraphs : Avoid extra blank lines between paragraphs unless necessary to highlight specific text.
  • Headers and Footers : Do not include headers or footers in the document.
  • Author Information

  • Author Names & Affiliations : All author names, including the corresponding author, should be in 10-point bold font. Do not include honorifics (e.g., Ph.D., Dr., etc.). Use 10-point font for affiliations.
  • Headings

  • Main Headings: Written in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS, bold, and in 10-point font.
  • Subheadings: Use Initial Capital Letters, bold, and left-aligned. Ensure headings are not separated from the text that follows them at the bottom of a page.
  • References

  • APA Style : Use APA Style for citations and references.
  • Identifier :DOIs should be used whenever available instead of URLs.
  • Order :Entries should be numbered and listed in alphabetical order by the surname of the first author.
  • Document Specifications

  • Word Limit : Manuscripts must be between 6,000 and 8,000 words, including references and appendices.
  • Appearance : The document must be consistent in appearance and formatting before submission.
  • Format : Acceptable file format is Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) only.
  • Final Checklist Before Submission

  • Verify spellings and grammar.
  • Ensure all authors' names and designations are correct.
  • Double-check references for completeness and adherence to guidelines.

  • Submissions not adhering to the above formatting and style guidelines may be rejected.
